General Management Programmes
INSEAD Programmes and Research
INSEAD General Management Programmes have impeccable credentials, resting on some of the school’s key strengths.
Experts in all the key functional disciplines. At INSEAD, we have world-class faculty members in each of our nine key research areas: accounting and control; decision sciences; economic and political science; entrepreneurship and family enterprise; finance; marketing; organisational behavior; business strategy; and technology and operations management. This enables us to offer the very best teachers across the entire curriculum of our General Management Programmes.
Interdisciplinary excellence. As well as specialist excellence, INSEAD has 19 Centres of Excellence dedicated to cross-disciplinary research. This broader approach to understanding business is carried into our General Management teaching, which is all about helping executives see the bigger picture.
Focus on soft skills – with a particular emphasis on leadership. Unlike many business schools, INSEAD is as focused on developing soft skills as it is in developing hard or technical skills. In particular, the INSEAD Global Leadership Centre, founded by the world-famous Professor Manfred Kets de Vries has created innovative 360-degree assessment tools and group coaching techniques, which are used in most of our General Management Programmes.
World-leading degree programmes in general management. Our degrees in general management – at MBA and Executive MBA level – are both ranked in the world’s top four by the Financial Times. They enable us to test out new ideas, techniques and faculty for our Executive Education programmes in general management.
Pioneering heritage. Back in 1968, INSEAD ran Europe’s first general management programme for executives – now our flagship Advanced Management Programme. Our pioneering attitude remains, for example, in our use of group coaching in most of our General Management Programmes or our recognition of the need for a shorter offering tailored to one of the world’s fastest-growing markets – the Asian International Executive Programme.
Global perspective and networks. In the 21st century 'general management' is becoming increasingly synonymous with 'global management'. Even if you choose a General Management Programme that runs on only one of our three campuses, you will be taught by professors who are based on the other side of the world and among classmates of many different nationalities from multiple global locations.
INSEAD’s range of general management programmes covers the needs of executives at all stages in their career:
