China has been the world’s largest manufacturer in the past 3 years and has contributed almost 30% of the growth in global consumption – almost double that of the United States. Its low labour costs, fast economic growth, and huge population have allowed China to become the destination of choice for global businesses looking to offshore manufacturing, expand consumer markets, and increase research and development.
The curriculum of the new joint CEIBS and INSEAD Executive Education programme, Expanding Business to China, has been designed by CEIBS and INSEAD faculty based on their most recent research and teaching innovations. It represents a unique business development opportunity for your business, whether you are considering entering China or expanding in China. Most participants will come with a specific business interest in mind. They may be engaged in an acquisition in China, planning to expand their supplier network or bringing a new product to market. We will group participants into interest groups that can focus on their special business issue and receive expert consultation and information during the week. Companies may also choose to send several participants in strategic preparation for a business move in China. In this case, our experts will support an internal company group to develop their current project using the depth of information and experience available at and through CEIBS.
