In Macquarie, we have a partner whose values, ambitions and international reach match our own. The programme not only enables INSEAD to have a powerful impact on a business; it also enriches the school with new learning from the heart of the investment banking and financial services sector.

Launched in 2007, the Master of Finance is studied part time by Macquarie executives over three years. The first two intakes, with more than 150 participants, are characterised by the same mix of dynamic, international high achievers as the school’s other degree programmes. Entry standards to the degree are extremely demanding. The average GMAT score is, as for INSEAD’s flagship MBA programme, around 700.

Participants are the first at INSEAD to study across four continents – residential modules are held in Sydney and New York, as well as on the school’s two campuses in France and Singapore. They are drawn from the Group’s 13,100-plus employees across 25 countries.

The innovative curriculum has been developed by INSEAD professors, in consultation with Macquarie’s senior leaders. The following courses are integrated into the context of global investment banking, with the addition of specially developed Macquarie-specific case studies:

• Finance (corporate finance and capital markets)
• Advanced finance (including value creation, modelling, analysis, risk assessment, specialist financing, and financial negotiation)
• Accounting
• Leadership, management and strategic analysis
• Models, context, practices and strategies of global financial services and investment banking management.
