There are other programmes designed for business leaders. None are quite like this. AVIRA is a unique opportunity for business leaders from around the world to put aside the urgent in order to consider the important. It gives them a forum for exploring and debating the current issues most prominent on their agenda. More concretely, AVIRA is designed to explore the five critical dimensions of the CEO’s role: Awareness,Vision, Imagination, Responsibility, and Action.
This programme gives executives five days to take a close look at not just their business, but also their relationship with ‘stakeholders’, to explore responsibilities and to reflect on their personal life. It gives them a week to ask themselves those questions perhaps others rarely – or dare not – ask them, and that with the pressure of business, they may not often ask themselves.
- Do I really know what is happening within my organisation, and outside? Can I make sense of it?
- What is the extent and limit of my responsibility? Am I responsible for the common good?
- Is this the right thing to do, and is there an alternative to the corporate governance model I am used to?
- Who will I be in the next decade or two?
The programme brings together business leaders from diverse cultures and experiences who face similar challenges. By being questioned and challenged by peers it helps them gain new and possibly unexpected insights, clarify their assumptions and build greater confidence.
