“INSEAD provided a broader outlook.”
It was a two-week, intensive experience that just flew by! I was impressed by the professors’ real-world experience, as well as their academic insights. They managed to pack substantial content into that short time, by using a variety of engaging teaching methods. There were case discussions, group exercises and computer simulations, as well as the lectures and general classroom debate that I’d expected. The opportunity to exchange ideas with the 37 participants from different cultures and industries enhanced the overall value proposition of the programme, making it much more enriching.
For the company, the Asian International Executive Programme’s vast spectrum of content and geographical coverage was very appealing. And the development of strategic skills, whichis an important part of the programme, matched their needs particularly.
For me personally, the programme facilitated a career transition. I’d been specialising in marketing for 12 years, but INSEAD provided a broader outlook. I’ve moved into the world of Supply Chain Management, which may seem like a big change, but not as far removed from marketing as you might think. The programme has helped me see how they are connected in maximising value creation.
I still draw from insights obtained from the programme, and I’m still in touch with the other participants. In fact, I’m about to get in touch with one of them as a prospect for a partnership opportunity in China.
